Professional Teeth Whitening
Tooth whitening (or bleaching) is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment used to change the color of natural tooth enamel and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile.
Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most patients, there are a number of ways to whiten teeth. At Mehta Dental Group, we offer two types of whitening to help you achieve and maintain a brighter, more radiant smile. With our personalized approach, from in-office whitening to convenient at-home systems, we have both options that’s just right for you.
Brighter, Whiter Teeth in Less Than an Hour:
Have you got stained, discolored or dull teeth? Are you embarrassed and always wanted to have a beautiful, bright white smile that you can be proud to show off?
At Mehta Dental Group, our Dentists use ZOOM WhiteSpeed technology, the most advanced Zoom whitening technology available, to achieve world class whitening results for your teeth.
ZOOM is an in-chair teeth whitening procedure, applied by your Dentist. The Zoom light is used to activate tooth whitening bleach. The Zoom whitening procedure involves 3 x 15 minute whitening cycles – meaning you can get your teeth up to 8 shades whiter in less than an hour. Because Zoom whitening is applied in-chair, by your qualified Dentist, we can use a stronger concentration of bleach than is available to at-home users. The results are amazing!
ZOOM whitening might not work in all instances – for example, only natural tooth will whiten (not fillings, crowns, veneers or other non-natural tooth). To find out if ZOOM Whitespeed Teeth Whitening is the best option for you, call today to schedule for your FREE Cosmetic Consultation with one of our Dentists.
At-home whitening treatment:
This type of tooth whitening usually requires two visits. At the first appointment, impressions (molds) will be made of your teeth to fabricate custom, clear plastic, trays.
At your second appointment, you will try on the trays for proper fit, and adjustments will be made if necessary. The trays are worn with special whitening solution either twice a day for 30 minutes or overnight for a couple of weeks depending on the degree of staining and desired level of whitening. It is normal to experience tooth sensitivity during the time you are whitening your teeth, but it will subside shortly after you have stopped bleaching.
Reasons for tooth whitening:
-
Fluorosis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).
-
Normal wear of outer tooth layer.
-
Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
-
Yellow, brown stained teeth.
You will receive care instructions for your teeth and trays for at-home whitening treatment, and be encouraged to visit your dentist regularly to help maintain a beautiful, healthy, white smile.
